Space 2069
Space 2069 is a look into the future of space flight, and various possibilities on what could happen. Interestingly, I read this book about two weeks before NASA announced that water was found on the moon, but not near the poles. This could be very important when it comes to a permanent moon bade, but I’m getting ahead of myself.
This was a fun, easy book to read. It distills information that might be tougher for the general population to understand into a digestible (possible) future game-plan for the world and space. It also diagrams the road map well. Whitehouse starts in the present, mostly focusing on the Moon and the Artemis program, then moving to Mars, then beyond that. It does a very good job of explaining what scientists are currently doing, and what they are looking for, specifically on the moon. It’s not truly groundbreaking in any way, but it’s a fun read.
Not much to say about this, but if you’re interested in space travel, this is a good primer for the future. It’s not a game-changer, but it’s a nice, easy get-to-know-you type book. Pick it up if you see it on sale.
