Killers of the Flower Moon
Right now is probably the perfect time to read (or listen to) this book. Martin Scorsese is making it into a movie with some of his usual suspects, including Leo and De Niro. It is a solid mystery with an ok B-story. It’s really divided into three parts: the murders, the FBI, and the author.
The murders section deal with the actual Osage murders of course, which is the best in my opinion. The FBI section is also what it sounds like, with the formation of the bureau, and this section is a bit of a drag but still pretty good. The author section is essentially a glorified epilogue stretched into a whole Part, which is fine. Not great, but not bad. Probably a bit too long.
Overall, not much to say, since it’s one of those historical true crime novels. It’s handled with care, is interesting, and they’re making a movie out of it.
