The Inner Game of Tennis
This book was recommended by Roy Halladay as one of the reasons he was so good at pitching. It’s only about 150 pages, and if one of the guys who threw a perfect game says it helped him, I figured I could get a few pointers from it, too.
This book was written by a tennis instructor who developed a new method in improving your game, and I have to say, I think it’s helpful. I golf, and many of the lessons can be applied to all sports. It’s easy to read and implement these lessons too, so I would recommend this to anyone who’s trying to improve at something. It’ll probably only take a day or two to finish, and if you get something out of it, great. Of course, it’s not for everyone, but definitely worth your time if you have even the slightest hint that it might be something for you.
